Young Cat Back to Full Activity after Total Hip Replacement

Atlas, a 2-year-old male cheetoh cat (Bengal/ocicat cross), is a fearless daredevil who likes to get into mischief, always wanting to climb to the highest heights he can reach in the house. Unfortunately, those activities caught up with him last May when he became acutely lame after jumping down from an elevated structure at home. X-rays showed a displaced fracture of the right femoral head that would require surgery.

Goat Successfully Treated for Urinary Blockage

Aria Brecheisen was exercising her 4-H goat Captain America (Cap) when she witnessed him drop to the ground and vocalize in pain. Cap, a 6-month-old Boer goat, continued to lay down straining in pain every few steps as she tried to walk him back to the barn.

Aubrey, an adorable Labrador retriever, suffered from incontinence since her birth in 2020. Because adopters were reluctant to deal with this messy condition, Aubrey was surrendered to a rescue. She was ultimately diagnosed with an ectopic ureter (an abnormal tube from kidney to bladder).

Prompt Response Helps Dog Survive Rattlesnake Bite

Jack, a 10-year-old Jack Russell terrier/Chihuahua mix, was enjoying his family’s rural property in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains when he was bitten on the face by a rattlesnake. Thankfully, owner Andrea Colbert witnessed the attack and took immediate action.
